Join us for the #LitInColor Write-a-Thon
Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, 12pm-5pm
Come and spend the afternoon (or even just 30 minutes) with an amazing group of Writers of Color who will be leading generative mini-writing workshops. This event is free and open to all. You can drop in for half an hour or stay all afternoon.
This is the second annual writing marathon featuring half-hour drop-in workshops by Writers of Color, organized by he (Great) Indian Poetry Collective and Kaya Press. Envisioned by Minal Hajratwala as a creative respite for attendees of the AWP Conference—who spend three days in an extroverted maelstrom neglecting their own writing practice—the event aims to hold space for anyone interested in writing, creativity and community.
This year we will be hosted by the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center. Other participating organizations include Split This Rock, Kundiman, Canto Mundo, and VONA (Voices of Our Nations Arts).
The drop-in workshops are FREE and open to ALL writers!
Location and teacher lineup coming soon. For the latest information, please check our Facebook event page.
